# Waste Pin

Share waste coordinates on a public map and plan collection routes across companies or with your team.

For people reporting discarded items and waste collection teams coordinating their work.

## Available in beta

### Report a location

Record the coordinates of a collection point. Publish as an individual or use your company’s public or team-only sharing.

### Plan a route

Anyone can view public coordinates from all companies and calculate a route through selected collection points, without signing in.

### Coordinate collection

Manage reports, collection progress and company membership from your account.

## Limits

Waste Pin is in beta. Collection availability depends on the participating team. Route estimates are guidance, not a guarantee of the shortest journey, live traffic or collection. Payments, a bidding marketplace and offline navigation are not offered.

## Product vision · Planned

Waste Pin tells your circular recovery truck what's on the street and where to find it.

- Two trucks, two routes, one map.
- Stand out from traditional linear waste management companies
- Collect valuable items along an optimized route and bring them to market through donations or sales. Create your circular marketplace for donations and sales
- Automatically measure your impact with clear metrics such as trees, water, CO₂ and waste prevented

A shared map of discarded items, complete with photos and coordinates, that your team can check before planning the day's operations.

Anyone can report a location: a crew member on their route, a passing resident, or a property manager clearing out a building. Your team sees the report, decides whether it's waste or something worth recovering, and assigns it to the right truck.

The regular waste truck follows its usual route. The recovery truck only goes where there is something worth saving.

Photos, item descriptions, waste/recovery classification and vehicle assignment are planned. They are not operational features of the current beta.

### If you can't measure it, you can't prove its value.

Every collected item is recorded. That data automatically feeds into your recovery report.

Automatic recovery reports, weights, revenue and environmental calculations are planned. No measured impact, customer outcomes or calculated savings are presented here.

Equivalent trees, water saved and waste prevented need suitable source data and a documented methodology. These indicators are not currently calculated.

## Resources

### Reporting responsibly

Provide accurate coordinates. Item photos and descriptions are planned. Do not share personal information. A report does not reserve or guarantee a collection.

### Using collection routes

Select the points relevant to your work. Mapping and route calculations depend on external map services and connectivity. Check access and local rules yourself.

### Accounts and teams

The public map and route planning do not require an account. Individuals can publish public coordinates with an account. Companies choose public sharing or team-only access. Only public coordinates, their publication time and display attribution are visible to everyone; team-only points require company membership. Invitations, account details and team administration stay private. A company administrator does not automatically administer the public blog.
